oh well while everyone if AFK I'm gonna post my pre-game thoughts on the players

Anarchist - I think annie is an easy wolf to spot AORN. my meta with him indicates that his posting hard style is a bit too over the top as a wolf. he may also easily gave up on games as a wolf (one game of meta, but still). if annie is hardly making any sense ITT or isn't making sense (that is, if his reads both come from nowhere and change for no reason) then he is more likely to be a wolf.
AstonmartinDB9 - good wolf! I think she can recreate her posting style well in both roles. might TMI slip as a wolf, so look for that.
Boo Radley - hard posts as a villager, can't do the same as a wolf. pretty easy to spot imo.
Crossnerd - I don't think her last game as a wolf was indicative of how she plays. if it is I think I might be able to spot early on. have zero meta with apart from that;
Felix the Cat - pretty sure would own my soul here as a wolf. I'll use my 'what low hanging fruit is felix pushing here and why' way of finding strong woofs. works much better than just trying reading him for wolfiness.
Globetrotter - another UTR player... I don't know much about him. I tried lynching him in breaking bad but couldn't.
HardcoreUFO - dumbass
LKJ - douchebag angleshooter :P JK. starts sketchy as a villager, but I'm pretty sure he can't recreate all his thought process as a wolf either.
Montecore - mislynched/misvigged/wagoned a lot lately. been pretty UTR and on x-files he was super sketchy as a villager early d1. I hope I can clear him here if he is a villager, we got enough meta for it maybe.
MrGatito - don't know much about him.
RapidEyeMovement - newbie. skimmed his villa game on breaking bad... may be low hanging fruit for the UTR + newbie combination.
TBobLP - after his return to POG he has been quite sketchy as a villager. I managed to work a mislynch on him on the wu-tang clan UFO aidsfest.
TheQuietAnarchist - woofed with me in x-files. he can DEFINITELY fake villagery thought process as a wolf. being an oldschool pogger doesn't make him less tricky. know nothing about his village game though.

also hardcore I was pretty surprised when you flipped in x-files, I thought your case on why not to lynch me was right on and seemed put together in a villagery way

this thread needs to get a lot more active, because I'm ready to slack off (doing work work) after getting destroyed at work the last three days

also I'm more excited than I thought I'd be for a plain old vanilla; v+s are fun, but it's hard for me to work up the WIM to reread 3K post early days

I mean in all fairness I haven't seen a single person pointing out an inconsistency in that MQ. everyone thought it was villagery work and got half-convinced to wagon you, which is great because that was the second time I managed to pull out a convincing read while trying to frame a villager as a wolf. also it's not something wolves can do in general, and yeah I'm toothing my own horn here that I can :P.

and yeah I'm going to play only vanillas for now. vanilla+s and mashes are super high variance. I don't wanna be on the winning/losing team exactly =rand and exactly depending on who my team mates are.

In. Happy for once to be villaging since I feel like there's a chance that I'm about to turn a corner.

I still don't think anything you pointed out is necessarily indicative of wolfiness; slight to not so slight differences in openings can certainly be indicative of wolfiness but clearly not always. I'm skeptical of how well it would have worked had I been in the thread and interacting as I normally do, because I usually clear myself pretty well as a villager.

Had you flipped villager in x-files I'd be more comfortable leaning villager on you now, but you didn't so I'm not. I'm getting that feeling but I don't trust it

yeah I did flip my read. I was noticing you were kinda villagery and felt inclined to point out. obviously I'm not going to try framing you there if you're around and posting. I tried because you were already kinda POE'd down and it was a good spot to work out a mislynch.

yeah I was talking to binkles about it (getting cleared after x-files) and we were discussing how terrible my POG life is going to be after that :P can't get cleared early anymore.

yeah I remember the first time I wolfed a team to a win, which was pretty satisfying, but I was pretty worried about how it was going to affect my village meta

luckily I randed wolf like 5 more times and almost went insane so it didn't matter, and now no one really remembers I can be a half decent wolf and still think I suck

so I say just play the waiting game and all will return to normal

Tone reading/early wolf-hunting. D1s had become a source of frustration more than anything because I was feeling pretty inept at that, I'd get a bunch of things wrong and then often have to fend off heat. Felt like it took until d2 or d3 before I was of any help to the village at all.

Anyway, we'll see how this goes. I don't think a wolf has entered the thread yet.

no lean on you just yet, and hardcore seems villagery but, as he said, it's going to be hard to clear him early

also, tone reading is more difficult on d1 in big v+ or mishmash games; I find it more useful in retrospect, but I rarely have the WIM to go back and reread

assuming anyone ever posts in this thread we should be able to get some good interactions going
