Villagers want to form real reads. That takes time. Wolfs jump in asap to have an "opinion." But we all know that when the thread is opened early, no one means anything about what they post. So everyone who made a srs vote based on p1 is suspect.

I appreciate the explanation but I think I disagree with it / you - here's why. Your premise is that this hypothetical wolf likes to say things that sound good and villagery, but not do any legitimate gamesolving. This is done through pointing out a generic scumtell (sarcasm). However, imo, a wolf that is trying to score some towncred and not stand out would probably leave it there. The fact that he is, in your words, showing "aggressive reaction in followup" is a GOOD thing, as pressure/belief/persistence is a good thing when you have a scumread. If anything, it would be wolfy to throw that comment out there but do nothing with it and let it slide.

I think your analysis of what a villager would do with that initial reason to press vs a wolf is incorrect, and that your accusation may have more to do with the conclusion he's drawing. You strike me as different than last game.
