I don't quite know what to make of this characterization of my style. I wouldn't have said I was particularly carefully focused or deeply inquisitive as a villager. I do agree that in my most recent game, my wolf finding was certainly not at all reliable.

But it's been a very long time since I've been in a game with Andynan.

Andy, I do have a question for you. You seemed to take your lynch as a given, because you are a "named" player of some reputation? But it seems like players that are known for being good or at least readable tend to get more of a pass on day 1, not less. Has that changed recently in POG?

I don't really understand you just lying down and dying here, or whatever the heck that was. It feels more like it was done for effect.

Also, pinkie pie, why are we friends? Not that you aren't just ever so wonderful, obviously.

First thing first. Im happy you are back and playing, I hope you are ever so happy IRL

I havent read any of your recent games, I am only remembering one game of yours with me, where your analysis was very deep and picked apart the motivations and the motives from a few players in long, intense posts that were easy to follow.

I also vividly remember your write ups in the game you modded, or co-modded, maybe you just took care of the writeups, the best writeups I've ever seen, how you'd describe the fear in the town, the rain, the smells, it was wonderful.

Second, to your question:

In a setup with players that know me somewhat, I'd most likely be safeguarded from lynch for a little while, in no small part due to me being readable as you say, I like to call that a virtue, the virtue of clearing oneself.

Here, not so much, I mean, who am I in the eyes of most players here? An old timer, yes, so what, nothing to write home about certainly, if I'm wolfy in their eyes, they'll go for it, and why shouldnt they? Should they know better magically? No, no. Not at all. So that's that.

3rd.

I love doing things for effect, and there certainly was an element of theatrics to it, but the core of it all was true. But truth alone does not make a good show, you need to spice it with passion, with drama, with feelings, so that it touches others. I hope you found it entertaining.

the problem wrt xxs is he was playing like this in the reunion game and alot of people thought he was wolfy but he wasnt.

he might just be smoked out playing at borgata on an ipad between hands or somethin... so i duno if we should expect the old active villa xxs anymore

Agreed too, but I'm still cautious.

I'm a little more convinced on Flutter than Andy (but not completely convinced on either), but I can't honestly say that Flutter having me on the top of his/her friends list isn't influencing me somewhat. In any case, I'll still keep an eye on those two, but I'm becoming more concerned with the AFK/UTR players. Currently working my way through the morning's posts.

I don't like this post because it looks like a reads post. It isn't, but it looks like one. This feels like he is trying to show that he is giving out villa points, except he's doing it in such a blanket way "those that expressed frustration at not being able to read the ponies" is a pretty broad sort of thing to be giving a villa lean for imho.
then the red: this says two things to me: he's saying he can't read the ponies (which I personally don't buy - you might not be able to toneread the ponytalk but imo there is a huge difference between the ponies in terms of quantity and quality of reads and wolfhunting-related interaction.)
and he implies he should also receive villa points for this.

I do like that you have gone back and read all of Mr Sooty's posts again even though you came to a different conclusion than I did. I don't think that copying my read on EADGBE was very good-ponylike at all of him, I think good ponies should have their own opinions and not just copy others! Also when I expressed my worries about EADGBE it was in a gentle way in hopes he might show his true good-pony nature (and imho he did, he's turned into quite the active contributer and someone I'd be perfectly fine keeping at the party!) When Sooted came and copied, he just dropped a vote on without saying much

like when you made that small case on fluttershy yesterday i agreed with it too and it was my reason to vote her.

the vibes i get from reading xxsooteds posts is more lazy-villager than wolf
but he is an experienced player and should step his game up, i agree with that

I'd also like to add that I'd really like to give Andynan another day at the party. When a pony is facing hostility and his reaction is to talk about all of the ponies one of three things can happen:
1: He's a good pony and his reads are genuine - shouldn't lynch him
2: He's an evil pony and his reads are intended to level - The reads are typically unconvincing in the long term, it's very hard to evolve levelled reads.
3: He's an evil pony and his reads are full of spew - he can probably keep this up convincingly but when he is revealed to be an evil pony eventually the village has a wealth of information.

in all 3 of these it's best to let him stay!

oh I do see what you are saying, a good pony will certainly value the opinions of his friends! I just didn't feel like my "case" on EADGBE was really a case at all so much as a "hey that's not villagery my friend, might I invite you to be more villagery?" which isn't really something I'd want sponged.
Perhaps you are right though that he's just short on time and didn't really think about it too much.
