Note that William "Mo" Cowan is no longer the Senator from Massachusetts. Ed Markey was sworn in either yesterday or today (following a special election) as his replacement. I don't know his committee situation.

True. He was on his way out when this started, having already given his farewells, but was still officially on the committee. I debated including him, but decided we'd want to ensure they all heard from us.

He's still listed even now, at http://www.commerce.senate.gov/publi...tyandInsurance. I'll keep an eye on this for updates.

Let's all be sure to participate in the community daily action plan. It is an easy, effective way for us to magnify our individual voices. By organizing, we have succeeded in securing virtually 100% of political social media poker discourse. We now have one bill in Congress and another on the way, so let's make our voices heard!
  1. Let's send the Republican members of the Senate Subcommittee on Consumer Protection, Product Safety, and Insurance prefilled, editable pro-poker tweets: HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, & HERE.
  2. Let's send the Democratic members of the subcommittee prefilled, editable pro-poker tweets as well: HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, & HERE.
  3. Let's send today's prefilled tweets to the DoJ asking for action on Full Tilt Poker player remission: HERE and HERE
  4. Venetian is lobbying Congress to ban online poker nationwide! Let's continue making and liking pro-poker comments on their Facebook page. The final two comments on their posts show on their wall, so let's just ensure we're the final two comments on their newest posts: HERE

Garden City Group has a twitter account, not sure if we've ever targeted them in the daily action plan.

Here are some edited tweets already sent in response that could potentially be slightly modified to be an action item.

@GCGNews Full Tilt poker players have been waiting for their money for over 2 years now. Handle claims and you will earn votes

@GCGNews: Vote GCG for Best #Claims Administrator? Prove it! Please take care of #poker players' remission payments.

worth noting that only lawyers can actually vote in that survey, so anything saying "you can have my vote" only shows ignorance. Better to phrase it in a manner that suggests they will improve their reputation if they handle remissions, or they should earn votes through doing their job rather than begging. But either way, the overwhelming majority of poker players can't vote in this survey so we shouldn't phrase it as if we would vote for them - we cant.

just rewatched this (its just after at the 1hr13min point), and i didn't get that impression at all (that she was complaining).

She seemed surprised maybe. But more importantly, she followed up the cagillion comment with what she thought was a defense of our wishes.

she was completely wrong about what we want - but that's all the more reason to clarify, since we know she will listen and is interested.
