Sometimes it takes a carrot. In Beshear's it will take some brute political force and the above idea would get his attention very quickly and cause quite the panic in the halls of Frankfort.
Beshear ran on a pro-casino platform. He is opposed to offshore sites, as he sees these as competing with other state gaming interests. He was also sold on his current approach in suing sites by a team of contingency-fee only lawyers. IMO he thought he'd get only kudos for this, but he's gotten only a lot of flack for it instead.
All of us in Kentucky need to tell Beshear that we do not support his efforts here. It takes just 30 seconds to send the letter.
