Let me just preface this by saying I am NOT trying to be sexist with this thread. Great start, right?

Recently i've been playing a decent amount of live poker. The field is comprised of mostly men, something around the ratio of 7 men : 1 woman. The majority of the male players act in a reasonable amount of time, no hollywooding, no tank/folding, just straight up. EVERY woman i've played with takes easily twice as long to make an action, sometimes i'd go as fas as saying they take 5x as long. It's usually when they are folding.

One girl in particular sits there for ages like she has a really tough decision, not even staring at someone trying to get a read, just staring at the table with a confused expression (she can play, not like she can't read the board or doesn't know her hand) and then folds JTo face up from the BB to an EP shove for 18bb. I mean, WTF? I don't have a problem with anyone taking extra time to act in tough spots but recently (I hate to say this) it has been all woman who tank fold. Is there any reason for this?

The girl is pretty hot. I think people just put up with it because she is hot. We were at a FT recently together and she opens to 25k UTG (5k/2.5k LOL) and she starts the hand with somewhere around 220k. Someone jams on her for ~100k and she hits the tank for a full five minutes. I'm SO tilted inside because..

1. That's a ridiculous amount of time to use at a FT when stacks are so short.
2. Why the **** are you opening to 5x UTG and then not knowing what to do when facing a 20bb shove?
3. NO ONE else would be allowed that amount of time.

A few hands later some guy is in a hand, board is like xKTQJ and facing a donk bet on the river after betting every street. He has been in the tank for no longer than a minute and this girl calls the clock on him.

Sorry for this messy thread and ranting. I'm just wondering if any of you guys do this and if so why? Is it to try and tilt us? WTF is up with this girl? Is she just a huge bitch? I've never called the clock on anyone and I really hope I never have to but is that the only way to handle this situation? I've tried doing things to make her realise that she is taking a lot of time (staring at my watch, getting up from table ... ) but none of them work.

Help me.

I've never played with another female who took inordinately long to act/decide, nor do I (if anything I act too quickly).

Yup, yup...men better/smarter/faster/etc. than women. We get it.

Your entire post implies that women have no clue what they are doing at the poker table. But yet you come to a women's forum to directly insult them as a poker-playing gender and then ask them for help? Sir, you do indeed need help. The problem is you are not going to get it here. We women are too busy trying to catch up to the men. glglgl.
