I want you to picture the US market like a billon dollar piece of cake. Stars and Tilt have part of the cake but can't get it all because Congress doesn't like cake that much.

Ok so on with their advertising problem. Stars and Full Tilt can't advertise conventionally. They are handcuffed by the murky position of the legality of what they do.

THEY NEED TO TAKE A POLITICAL POSITION. That's right the first amendment protects political speech. So instead of saying play at pokerstars.net they should take out enormous ads in opposition to the status quo.

Something like this:

PokerStars will continue to defend your right to play poker, but we need your help. Although the UGIEA does not make playing poker illegal it attempts to limit the use of your money. At Poker Stars we believe in your right to make your own choices and we have your back.

What that does is that it allows them to passively advertise their site and have it be legal because they are making a political statement that is protected.

If they were to do a one time advertising push that got a lot of attention it would get noticed and result in additional advertising. My opinion is that they need to structure the perfect political statement type ad and then place full page ads in every major newspaper in the country.

Yeah, right. So, you want two foreign companies to advertise a product that is (allegedly) illegal, at least the money angle, in the U S and the U S just stand by and do nothing???? Boy, just give the DOJ more reasons.

I realy dont think stars or tilt realy want the US to legalize online poker. If that happens it will give them some more competion so, they are not realy pushing it they already have what they want it all to them selves. To tell you the truth they my be helping to keep it that way they can get money on there sites no problem but others are hard and they want to keep it that way.

They are rich and greedy if they wanted it legal it would have never been illegal. They know what they are doing and have alot of well educated people working for them to keep it that way. It is politics (MONEY) and they are the richest they get the pupits (politions) to do what they want.

Now im not the smartest person by far but I have thought about it and all the money that poker brings brings in, also brings alot of greedy people that are making money somehow and I promise the one's that pushed it to be illegal are the ones getting the $$$$s. This is just the way I see it mabe im wrong but I would bet on it

The sites might have a hard time getting a license to operate a money transmitting business. If it was that easy I'm sure the sites would have done so long ago.

Considering many of the big name pros who have ties to the PPA, instead of constantly throwing commercials at us telling us how great Daniel and Ivey or whoever are, why don't they make a commercial or two about the current situation and what people can do to help? How about a PPA week on PAD? Stars, likewise, has air time on another network. Why not try to do a little more? Besides poker players (casual or not), you may just pick up a few people who don't even really play, but are outraged just on civil liberties issue alone.
