You are not a professional poker player - there is no such thing in the uk. You are either retired or unemployed - enjoy it and stfu.

You need 30 years NI credits to qualify for the state pension, so you can make voluntary contributions if necessary to get the 30 years.

As stated above none but you can pay them if you want to try and get a better state pension but I would not bother.

Keep the money and allocate it appropriately yourself. Im sure you can provide for your retirement better than the UK government. I feel sorry for those that are forced to pay NI and trust the government will be able to provide for them in 30 years time.

Yeah, you're not erquired to pay any. You could choose to pay in order to fulfil your requirement for a state pension, but I'd say investing/saving the money yourelf is a better bet.
