We need to start a campaign to get one or more US senators to wage a filibuster against any bill that contains promotions or pay increases for any employee of the DoJ.

This is a joke right? Try getting 41 senators to deny pay increases to tens of thousands of hard working individuals for poker players. There is a better shot of me sleeping with Pam Anderson tomorrow night than that happening.

Can someone attach a rider cutting the DOJ budget by the cost of the poker investigations? The House seems pretty rider happy these days.

Fire them all. The federal DoJ has intruded upon state's rights long enough. They have no jurisdiction to be involved with all that they do.

I am not knowledgable on this subject. With that said, I think it takes 1 senator to start a filibuster but 60 to end a filibuster. If I am correct, we only need one to fire a very loud warning shot across the DoJ's bow.

This is true, but the odds of getting even one senator willing to go this far for us are really, really small.

Still, if we ever do find such a senator, I like the idea. After all, it was Kyl holding up appointees that made the Treasury Dept. finally approve the UIGEA regulations.
