I didn't know checks from Epass were an option. Where do you go in ur acct to get this?

I cannot say, but then again there was no real reason to close off deposits.

The silver lining is that NOW we have a party who might HAVE to litigate the legality of Poker in the various US States and federally.

Milton, please use the quote function in your replies. It makes it much easier to follow discussions. Thanks.

If this was a baseless rumor Gambling911 would have reported it days ago. Since there's no mention of it there, it's a good bet it's true.

Great, I just emailed them about getting a check. Guess I won't be hearing from them.

I think we are past the point of debating whether or not it is true.

LOL, Nice analysis. .... but rest assured, G911 IS covering all the Important News:

"Gambling911.com Apologizes for Breaking Up Another Relationship

Gambling911.com has expressed deep regret for posting the photo of a sportsbook employee being viciously groped by an online poker scammer - one Allan Grimard, who was implicated in some "insider" monkey business last fall.
...
Grimard is seen attempting to violate a beautiful young Latina girl at a party held more than three years ago.
The girl's boyfriend saw the photo and proceeded to get upset with the innocent lass.
...
Who can blame her for being horrified when that photo appeared.
Gambling911.com believed this young lady to be some celebrity at the party and not a sportsbook employee. We would never have put such a photo up revealing her identity had we known. ...."

--- from G911, nothing about epassporte though.

Correct, but it is no longer an option when you click 'deposit'

Maybe dumb question, but how do I get money off epass when I used a debit card as a credit card (they would never verify the debit part) Do they issue paper checks?

Well bad news obv, but something else will spring up.

There's too much money to be made in this industry to not have quick deposit options

This would be consistent with the UIGEA language which just restricts deposits and not withdrawals. Not sure if that's the basis for this but it does make sense.

a buddy of mine called and that is what's happening to his money... from 'stars to epass. he can't get it out. 'stars CS said to use the check option, but it isn't available to him... he has to withdraw the way he put the funds in. there is no 'check' option on his cashout screen.

Stars offered a rare reload this past week. I suspect they knew this was coming and wanted to lock money on their site. Damn I wish I was as smart as Pokerstars.

Does anyone use e-wallet? Is this similar in scope to e-pass?

I ran to the ATM down the street after seeing this thread to take out my $100 that I had sitting on there and it thankfully worked just fine.

The sickest part of all this post UIEGA crap, is that it's a law that hasn't and probably won't ever go into effect. It's like they are waving a toy gun around and everone is running (sites and payment processors). I just witdrew $600 off my epass card, at least that still works.

I just got through and spoke with a customer service representative of Epassporte on their California telephone number. He repeatedly assured me that this is a technical problem that should be resolved within 24 hours. I, more than once, asked if Epassporte was no longer servicing online poker sites for US customers. I informed him that Cake Poker has a message that Epassporte has stopped servicing them (I tried Poker Stars, FT, Walker Poker, a Merge net skin and Pokerari, an Everleaf skin and none had this message). He told me that Epassporte has not made any policy changes and that Cake Poker was mistaken. I suggest that we wait 24 hours before concluding that Epassporte has left the online poker market.
