Hey all, thought I'd pass this along. I got done playing beach volleyball the other day, grabbing my bike about to go home, and there were a few people walking down The Strand with 'Eisele for Congress' shirts on. One of them approached me and asked me who I was voting for. I told him I didn't really know, not knowing much about the candidates. Well Mr. Eisele was only a few steps behind him, and we had a nice talk for 5 or 10 minutes or so.
After he gave me his quick pitch on the main points of his campaign, I told him I really didn't have any interest in politics, but pretty much the only issue important to me was legislation for online poker. He mentioned how a big project he's involved in for fundraising and charity efforts is actually an online lottery. He was telling me part of his struggles with authorities on how he was really hamstrung in his efforts, and how he had to set up everything he was doing in the UK. Long story short, he listened to my story about online poker, how it is an income source for me, and that he's on our side.
If you're eligible to vote in this election and don't have a candidate to vote for, Stephen Eisele is on our side. May 17th is voting day, and here's a link to a map of California's 36th District:
