LOL at that douchetard claiming to be a winning tourney player over 30 years. I think that he doesn't want to lose the ability to claim that he loses because the sites are rigged.

Actually a good idea IF states / state lotteries simply required you to play via their state that interfaced as a "skin" of major sites. This would help appease states that might fear loss lottery revenues.

It would simply add another "game" to the lineup.

It amazes me that these jackass "ZOMFG DON'T LEGALIZE VIDEO POKERZ" state lotto directors can't be bothered to educate themselves. This solution is so bitingly obvious.

True, scary but true.

I know little about other states laws other than WV (where I am) but this may help here and could hurt.

Politics, ugh!

If a game of skill, then all is OK, maybe, though here an "OPINION" from the AG was it is not a skill game.

If NOT then the lottery who owns ALL games (even Racino tables) could own the game and lease it out like now or (god forbid) run it as they do the lottery.
Yes, a strange arraingement but it works.

Mary needs more time. Said she wants more hearings probably in spring. Barton says he's ready for a vote.

Okay, I'm awake. What did I miss?

Actually, I just finished reading this thread and you all did a great job of sort of making me feel like I'd been awake and watching. Sounds like it went well. Sounds like our daily social media work might be having a little impact, as well.

Will read slugggerx5's piece on pokerfuse and will watch the hearing.

But after reading this thread, I feel even more encouraged. EDIT: see my post below. Grrrrrr.

(BTW, I thought the point of this hearing was to have state officials testify. Frank, Campbell, and Wolf are not state officials.)

A likely time-line, the GOP will want to milk this from Pro-pker for all they can and close to election time be able to court our good graces by giving us back what they took away via UIGEA.

LVRJ (referring to Rep Bono Mack): "She said it would probably be early in the new year before she set the next steps, if any." IF ANY???? What's with that? Hahaha. Politics.

Cynical response: String this out as long as possible in order to get more campaign contributions for next fall's Congressional elections, since she was redistricted into a tougher district than what she was in.

Or give her 7 district tribes time to come up with their best offer for her to drop the topic?

I can't tell if this is good or bad. I was under the impression that the chances of passing a bill are better if it gets introduced in the house/senate sometime this year. Am I wrong in assuming this?

I'm pretty sure the chances of it passing won't change dramatically until next year's elections and the new Congress is sworn in January 2013.

However, our chances are better if we can get it introduced before the end of this year so it isn't lost in re-election bullsht. Always good to have the revenue issue to help push it, too.
