It's outrageous that 2p2 is censoring and covering up inquiries into the the Stoxtrader anonymous attack incident.

The original anoymous poster was revealed to be a very well-known player and coach on a video site. The poker community has a right to know so this player is not to be trusted.

An otherwise reputable mod in the HSNL **** thread deleted responses asking if this well-known player was going to be banned or punished, justifying the censorship by stating that Stoxtrader wants the matter to remain private.

Even if Stoxtrader wishes the matter to remain private, it's not up to him. We all have a right to know. (Suspicious that he wants this kept secret as well.)

Reputation means a hell of a lot in the 2p2 community.

It would be a gross miss-step for 2p2 to keep covering this up. It's not in their interest to create this level of distrust between loyal users and 2p2.

If someone wants to come on a real account and post some real information with real backup, sounds good, let's see it.

If I recall right, the original was a gimmick account and admitted as such, and 2+2 in general has a pretty unforgiving policy for people who make accounts just to sling crap at other people.

No, now they're covering up revealing who did that to begin with.

If someone slandered someone, we should know who did it.

I think the real conspiracy here is that Ray no longer has a pink name.

I think you'd understand this policy much better if some person you had a beef with came on here anonymously, and then posted a bunch of unverifiable accusations about you. Particularly if included personal/private information and the accuser doesn't have the best rep here.

With pretty limited information about the subject and a questionable source, maybe peel back on the lynch mob bit for a while?

Put another way, there's a huge difference betwen censorship, and giving the benefit of the doubt to a reputable poster while its looked into.

Probably not a good plan for 2+2 to out everyone's gimmicks. Better to just kill it. Now, if Stox has an interest in who has slandered him and wants to pursue a law suit, that's something for the lawyers to work out. But no, I don't think any of us deserve to know who did it.

At this point, I log in daily just to see what they have done to my account today. :P
