Seriously Low Key has been a massive negative to this whole conversation (as has anybody who tried to frame spank's modding as some "threat" instead of just pointing out that it was a ****ty thing to do to the forum).

I think anyone who is not a PU mod and is still posting in this thread rather than the PU sticky moderation thread might possibly have some explaining to do?

So this thread has been an....interesting(?)...read for me. I realize that I'm not active in many forums around here and I don't get involved with much of the NVG/Politics/BBV stuff because I've done my fair share of arguing on the internet over my years. Most of what I'm about to say is based almost entirely on ATF interactions with some random observations around the site when I venture out into other areas.

Straight to the point: modding spank is a terrible idea. I hate to give him this much credit, but he's one of those posters who's smart enough to know how to say things to never allow a rap-sheet to build up. It's like that guy that never does anything that crosses that black/white rule-set at work, so the company can't fire him without facing an unlawful termination or whatever, but every single person in the company constantly thinks "Man, I wish they'd just fire that guy already."

There needs to be a "Reason for Banning: 'Body of work'"

I'm glad the privacy issues have been looked into at least, and not to drag up earlier stuff from the thread, but lol @ the mod earlier who was pretending he couldn't fathom why having personal information available to bad people was bad WHILE making an effort to avoid having his information available. I'm very impressed with how quickly those concerns were addressed, and I'm glad to see there's consideration over who even needs access to that info to begin with.

We heard from Phone Booth about what it's like to be threatened as such, and one of the PU posters was supposedly doxxed recently. The latter case may have had nothing to do with mod access to his email address and everything to do with him posting too much personal information in high traffic areas.

But still, it's not unfair to consider that too much access may have been at the core of that transgression as well.

Low Key is a lame poster, but he's not really the biggest problem right now. Stop diverting attention away from the PU mod who's deleting threads and inventing arbitrary rules.
