New forum replying to a post opens a reply window that doesn't let me see or refer to the OP. Is the expectation that I memorize the OP before composing replies? I see a "quote" button at the bottom of replies already made but I don't see how to quote an OP in a reply (no button).

Old forum OP had a quote button and, if desired, I can draft a response in Quick Reply window while scrolling up to refer to OP.

Hi Mike,

To answer the question you've sent me in the PM (because I can't actually respond to it via PM) - I originally just thought I'd been given PM access since I posted a couple of times.

I now think there's some kind of weird glitch with the new platform where I was able to PM via it but not via the old one, though now I get an error message when trying to do it via the new platform.

Is there some sort of de-sync for messages between the new and old platforms for anyone else The PMs I've gotten on the old platform don't show up in the new one (and I assume vice versa), even if the PMs themselves are recent.

How can I switch "new platform" forever off I don't like it, it's less clear, and ... it's not 2+2 at all. I must admit I am always confused when I see it. New platform enables randomly, or is here some system in it? Why? I don't like it, I don't want it. It's like good game making changes and 'nerfs' only because developers need some work, until all regular users start hate game and publisher.

Edit: So, it looks like posts from the new platform, when viewed on the old platform, are missing some punctuation, but not all... Isn't that stupid, guys?

Regularly getting host errors while using 2p2. Even when it works, pages are very slow to load.

Yep. I was thinking I need to exchange numbers with people I'd like to keep in touch with, because I can't imagine dealing with this for long. Seems fine now, but this morning it was the worst. Seems to be bad every morning, clearing up around midday for whatever reason.

I've been getting a CAPTCHA nearly every time I refresh the old site (forumserver.twoplustwo.com) starting right around the time the slow loading problem appeared. Doesn't seem to be a problem with the new site. Happens in both Firefox and Chrome on Linux.

Fwiw, and I think its been posted before, when I try to open 2+2 from a bookmark it doesnt work 90% of the time
But when I google 2+2 forumserver (so i dont go to the crappy new one) it works 90% of the time. And I do get the verification check each time but its not taking so long anymore

Well, ive done the exact same thing and never get in this way :s

BTw, when I am using the old forum layout and I click on a new thread that automatically opens itself in new 2+2 style I always get "Not Found"

Literally the first thread I opened after reading this post, (in the old forum format), was https://twoplustwo.com/Discussion-of...e#firstNewPost which, for me, opened automatically in the new forum format. Is that "Not Found" for you?
