The problem with Op is that he is assuming that people with large post counts feel they are entitled to something, or that people with large post counts should always be extremely intelligent, or the third most likely problem is that OP has some subconcious mental problem that indicates he has post count envy.

OP, you are asking for a "logical" explanation as to why people spend time here. This is the same as asking why people play halo or why do people watch lord of the rings. It's entertainment.

man, I dont get why people care about post count so much. Some people worship people with a high post count like somehow it makes them credible or trustworthy or something. Other people equate it with skill, like if you have 10K posts and play 50NL you are a failure at life. Or if you have a ton of posts you must have no life.

wtf, its a stupid number, who gives a ****? It means absolutely nothing.

The only time you've got to be concerned with postcount is when a new account starts massing posts rapidly and trying to enter into financial transactions with other 2p2 members. Apart from that it shouldn't be anyone's concern.

For obvious reasons you should be wary of low post count posters when dealing with transfers or anything else that has the potential to affect your finances.

why do you actually care ? you will be able to find out if that person with 10K posts is legit or not by the type of replies he gives on various threads
