If he was trying to respond to a post, it might be that the original post was deleted. A dupe post was recently deleted (and the other moved).

I've had similar (but not the same) problems on the 2+2 smartphone app. Sometimes the thread IDs or post IDs get truncated, e.g., instead of replying to post 28426327, I end up replying to post 2.

Refreshing usually fixes the problem.

Yeah its on the iphone app.

Ill type abig ol long response, hit send and then it says invalid id

Ughh makes me soo mad i could cry.

Not really but it is pretty annoying
