My member status is newbie, it says that right near where it says I've been a member since 2006.

I have a low post count yes. I read posts almost daily, I write about some of them on international news sites. I don't talk as much as I listen, but newbie is incorrect :P.

I can't be the only 2p2er suffering from chronic, newness :P lol

I think the point OP makes is a good one. Assigning posters a status according to their post count doesn't make any sense.

The suggestion is of course to think out of the box a little bit, and not encourage a bunch of sillyness posts to boost cred in the forums, I'm sure it's been made b4.

Fwiw, I've had at least 2 posts deleted (I responded in threads that were later deleted) so seee, I almost made it.

Now it appears my next post is a BIG one, so I'll have to think abt what to say for a few months.

PS, I'm not worried... I'm 'becoming a part of the community' by taking an interest in it

Don't worry about little things like post count, just browse the forums and participate in threads that interest you. I'm sure a lot of us don't even truly realize just how much we post. Just enjoy and have fun,

I think we should abolish this class system of post counts and move to a Marxist style forum where people are judged based on their character and not by the number of posts they have.

Basically by lurking for 3 years while "you been here" which is great and of course apprciated, you really haven't been seen or heard from.
