so i was reading this thread with a chatlog of two players who wanted to multiaccount and ghost of whatever and it has 650 replies. most of them are pretty much senseless and/or dumb and just add nothing meaningfull to the topic. this isnt only a problem of this thread but of a lot of thread in nvg and bbv who get trolled a lot.

so i thought of two systems to fix this problem:
1. the mods can chose which post are relevant (for the example this would be the reply of one of the players) and link it to the op or move it to the firs page so everybody can see it wihtout skipping through 65 pages.
obv this would be a lot of work for the mods so think my second idea is way better.
2. posters with 100+ posts (or joined over a year ago) can give a post a thumb up or thumbs down. if a post has 5 thumbs down the message of te post is hidden but you can still view it by clicking at the name of the poster or something. if a post gets 5 or 10 thumb up it gets highlighted by some way, for example a differnet color, font or just moved in a bit

this would be most usefull for bbv and nvg but it would also make hand analysis easier. if you want to comment on a hand but someone already posted what you wanted to say, you might end up not posting at all. it also would safe a lot of tme for the once who want to comment and help other people if they only need to press the thumb up button. the op, on the other hand would would have a much better picture of how many people agree/disagree with a certain move or post.

cliffs:
- revolutionary post rating system: giving posts a thumb up/thumb down
- 5 thumbs down: post is hidden (but still viewable when clicked upon)
- 5 thumbs up: pot gets highlighted in some way

no i dont think the post should be deleted. but reading through 600 "i think they cheat/i dont think they cheat/i dont know if this is trustworthy" posts is jsut a pain in the ass. afterall there are some good posts but they are almost inpossible to find if you dont want to read throught the whole thread.

I kinda think the OP is almost on the verge of a point in reference to that specific thread, or some of the Lee Jones/Cake ones.

In theory you're dealing with issues that are Big Deals and rather serious to the poker community- and the s/n ratio in those thread becomes appalling with idiot grunchers, stupid non-poker player net detective, and just overall idiots. Some more heavy handed moderation might be helpful in keeping those threads functional for the people that might actually have some need to grasp what's going on in them.
