I believe something was mentioned in MrCaspan's tirade about making the forum accessible through Google+ and Microsoft accounts. I'm not sure if others feel the same as me about this, but I wouldn't want this. I kind of enjoy the fact that I have semi-anonymity while making posts on 2+2. I've probably posted enough that somebody could actually find out who I am in real life if they wanted to, but that person would probably waste quite a bit of time going through my posts looking for clues.

If I post something stupid on Facebook, it is there and everyone who knows me is aware of the stupidity that I shared with the world. Whereas on 2+2, I can post as much stupid stuff as I want without hurting my reputation. No big deal.

On the plus side, transferring over to the new forum will possibly clear my 2+2 infractions that I have to see every time I go to my subscriptions. Just a wall of shame for me to see from mistakes back in 2017.

Maybe you wouldn't have made those mistakes in 2017 if the forum was accessible through Google+ and Microsoft accounts.

No. Those who are being affected by the decision are not interested in having a small group of modders influencing their access to other 3rd party communication tools. If there is one modder they want to allow, it would be us.
