What is it with these guys here always thinking they can post whatever because the thread is 'rightfully mine.' Nothing is yours. This forum is moderated and owners can run it as they please.

Meh, it's somewhere in between, most NVG'ers obv live off a steady diet of ****** sandwiches but Brit's posts aren't really good at all, they're just well written compared to the average NVGer which isn't saying much.

He's still annoying though, he only starts threads to play contrarion because he gets off on all the attention. And he starts them in NVG because he can beat up on people with down syndrome and then take pride in it. None of his posts have much value to anyone who doesn't have a vegetable for a brain though.

I am not an attention seeker nor am I a troller though I have been made into one by many people here. I thought I would make a stand against Kevmath because quite frankly I had no other means of defending myself against the unwarranted act against me. If you goto the thread I made http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh....php?t=233101m you will see that he locked this thread for absolutely no reason and why should I as a poster have to endure this?

I stated my case clearly and acted impeccably throughout.
When I made a thread complaining about what had happened, another moderator "Micro Bob" stepped into to let me know that perhaps a PM to Kevmath would have been a more appropriate channel of communication, but my question to him that I will ask now is, why couldn't Kevmath have sent me a private message instead of locking my thread for no reason and acted in a manner you would expect from a moderator? I can understand why a work colleague would would try and storm in to steal the burden away from Kevmath so he didn't look like the petty moderator he was being, but I was the victim here and neither Kevmath or Micro Bob will admit liability.

At times I admit have been a little bit passionate and fiery in my indulgences and spoken perhaps to freely in jest, but this can be no more offensive than some of the other people who comment in such a viriolic way on here. For example, I made a thread and I had to endure being told to "die in a grease fire" and "commit suicide" but Kevmath or the other moderators did not seem to react to these displays of spitefulness which begs the question: how can you be offended by my opinion and not offended by some of these comments? Surely you can see the illogicality of this.

I feel like I am being made into a martyr for exposing a few of flaws and fears of poker mentality. I would say: before you try to make an example of me, ask yourselves what you are ultimately scared of when you appeal for my public hanging for no more than having expressed myself.

I know I am sorta of new here, but I beleive you are mis-interpreting any attention anyone on 2+2 has shown you. You are sort of like a very bad accident on the highway... a very unfortunate incident, and bad for all involved, but everyone slows down to take a peek nonetheless.

So if your goal is to be the biggest trainweck on 2+2 then you are doing a great job.

However, in no way is 2+2 better because of that.

You're right, his decision to reopen your threads was terrible.

There is a word for this. That word is "troll." Brit is a troll. I don't think he believe half the stuff he says. But even if he does, it's beside the point.

He says the **** he does (i.e., post in a poker forum full of people who are passionate about and professionally play poker about how poker is boring and dying) not to engender conversation, but to get a reaction out of people. And when people like me and others take the bait and get angry, well, that's what makes the troll's pathetic, miserable lives worth living. "I pissed off someone on the internet. Yay!" It's how they assure themselves they are superior to their fellow man.

Of course, none of this can be proven because we can't read Brit's mind, which is what gives him all of this plausible deniability he is milking to the max, as all disciplined trolls do. Mods, PLEASE ban this *******.

I have been called a troll because some of my opinions are at variance with the majority of people who like poker. You see, most poker players want to believe that poker is a pursuit that is worthwhile, is very fulfilling and will make them very rich. The sad fact is that very few will actually succeed, many will go broke, get into debt, some will drop out of college, many will be chasing the rainbow, i.e., wanting everything/material wealth for nothing. Some will break up families, miss mortgage payments, and some in the worst case will kill themselves over poker. Some may say that it's an exaggeration, but you see it is easy to think this whole lifestyle is great from behind a computer screen. It is not till you speak to people who have been playing live and doing it for decades on the circuit that you realise that the suffering they witness due to poker is very real to them, and their opinions have much validity. Do not think that the online poker world is without its desperation and casualties. Because it happens. I wish I could say that most people have a very healthy relationship with the game and win lots of money, but I just don't believe that is true. People drop out of college and try and make a go of playing poker, then fail, and cannot goto work because they cannot explain to an employer what they just did with 15 years, so they have to stay trapped playing poker trying to scratch out a living. Not out of want but out of need.

I am not a troll, but do people troll me? I'd say they do in most threads. My threads have routinely been closed because a few people have trolled me at the start of a thread. I have often ignored this hoping that the moderators would ignore it too and it would look favourably on mself if I did not fan the flames, but alas I usually return to a closed thread. I get flamed way more than I flame anyone else and by the by, I ignore people who send malvolence my way whererver possible. If I am guilty of anything, it is of upsetting the apple cart with a difference of opinion that people would rather ignore, should it possibly disrupt their perspective of this game they call poker.

Just wanted to say your post in NVG on how many players have an unhealthy relationship with the game really hit home for me. It described pretty well where I was a year ago, though not even a big player, I had a totally different attitude toward poker than I do now (it is a hobby for me, my favorite one, but I dont have dreams of playing poker all the time to make it professionally or anything).

Anyway, just wanted to tell you I thought you really made some good points and struck a chord with me, even without knowing who I am.
