You're angry at something (bad beats, the dog, liberals, ...) and you want to get revenge by winning all those donks' money as fast as possible, so you subconsciously try to force action.

The trick is to recognize when you are in this mood, and have the mental strength to log off. When you feel this mood again, ask yourself "How many hundred dollars am I going to blow today before I calm down?"

Looking back at my original post I was definitely bitching. I've been really working hard at this game and found myself frustrated with it. After a week of slowing down and taking a breath I feel much better. This post has definitely helped me. Have to work on playing my A game when I sit down at the table. It's tough to balance playing 20-25 hrs/week with a 9 to 5 job and other resposibilities. I find it difficult to be at my best all the time.

I play very little online. When I do play online it's usually a variety of different small stakes games. I'm down about $300 in 4 months of play and haven't quite figured it out. However, I haven't invested much in it. 99% of the time I play live poker.

I know when I'm in one of those moods. I'm trying to develop the discipline to get up and leave when I'm like that. Instead of leaving I usually continue to make matters worse and stay longer. This is something I need to eliminate from my game.

Now i have to hear him chirping because of his own stupidity.
yo pmv-did sneaky pete really say that about not having a losing month? haha, i gotta chirp to him about that. you are right about his lifestyle change though...quitting his job, buying lacoste and jordan... it must be nice when he's been golfing for free all summer too, thanks to me having to pay him after every round (untill last weekend finally) he seems to be managing it ok though, havent seen too much worry in him yet, and I know he'll get back on track. a perfect quote for that situation would be that HE NEVER PLANNED TO FAIL HE JUST FAILED TO PLAN...my nitty bankroll management has outlasted his though-right? because I plan
