Would you fold JJ against 2 all-ins?

Early in an online tournament, not much of a read on opponents. I get pocket JJ behind the button. Button folds, SB goes all in and the BB calls the all-in. I'm thinking my JJ is probably beat and I fold. Well SB flips 22 and the BB shows 99. Flop comes with a J and the BB pair of 9s wins with no help from the board.

I could have more than doubled up with that hand and it pains me to think about it but all in all I think I made the smart move. Did I or should I have played "Go big of go home"?

The only pair you don't want to go against is 1010. They always hit sets. Against anything else you'll always suck out. Snap call.

I forgot to mention that I 6XBB bet out preflop. I also had been playing very tight and it was the first hand anyone saw me make a significant raise with. Then the SB goes all-in and the BB follows. I had lost many a hand with JJ being beat out by a Q or higher before and didn't feel like going out early in the tourney by calling against a possible AA or KK.

I really did think I was beat with 2 all-ins called after my big raise. I can't believe the SB with a pair of 2s went over the top like that. If it was just one player putting me all in I would have called but two players and I begin to wonder if one of them has me beat with QQ,KK,AA.

by behind the button you mean in front of the button, right? i wish there were a name for the position right before the button. that would really help things out. we should make up a name for the position before the button so we dont have to have this discussion again. less call it, the cutoffyoursmallweener. or for short, we'll just call it, the yoursmallweener. alert the media.

One important note is that we all had about the same amount of chips. Calling meant that if I did loose the hand I would be so severely crippled that I'd most likely wouldn't make it to the top 100 even if I managed to double up a few times. It was basically go all in myself or fold.
