Read this then this.

Then post any more questions here, or hand questions here.

Trust me this is the best advice you will find in BBV.

I feel sorry for the new guy that takes the literal meaning of BBV and then acts upon it expecting serious responses.

Been running bad. Getting it in 80% to 95% favorite only to get run down consistently over and over again. Flop a boat against AQ to see running aces. Flop a set see running hearts giving some idiot with AK a flush. Happening quite a bit this last three weeks. Was thinking about BAD KARMA and turning over new leafs and maybe praying (well maybe not praying). Then I heard the story of the guy this week who went to catch the baseball and fell out of the stands and died. Right in front of his son. What was his EV when he leaned over the rail to catch the ball? Anyone?

It's just money and a game which has a degree of chance. If you are a good player over time you will find ways to win. If you love the game and are really losing because of variance don't quit. That's my take.

i went through exactly the same thing at beginning of year , i was a sponsored player and had 6/6 winning months then just hit the biggest downswing i have ever been on in 8 years of playing online . i was getting in the middle as favourite a ridiculous high percentage of the time yet i would never win , this went on for close to 2 months over a pretty large sample size and ended up with me losing my sponsorship .
all i can advise is take a break from the game for a while , just play a couple of tournaments each night as fun instead of making money and try and gradually get all the bad thoughts out of your head of whats been happening previous .

a serious downswing is not nice and can affect your game and confidence really badly , my head was shot to bits for a month or two but slowly your confidence and form will return .

fingers crossed i will be getting news of a new private sponsor on monday and everything that happened the early part of year will be forgotten forever .
but i can sympathize with what you have gone through because i have been there and its a really sick feeling .

hope you get through it , good luck .

Move DOWN from NL25....

Lol, I never got that...you simply arent going to learn much below those stakes imho applicable to higher stakes.

Just get a few hundo together(Jobaments?) and play 25nl with a proper roll...if you cant survive, I would probably join a training site tbh...if you take NL25 seriously and cannot beat it playing a few tables something is really wrong with you.

set over set with small pairs? aces cracked? one-outed on the river? yes..it does happen to everyone...not usually all in one session, but over time you are gonna receive every kind of bad beat possible. Keep putting it in good, don't tilt, stay patient, and remember the occasional bad beats YOU inflicted

and it happens both online and offline (lost an $850 pot to a one outer on the river a couple month ago)

i've had sessions like that especially after getting a big tnmt score online...usually best to 'take a break' or 'leave the table' when things are going sour and you start getting 2d best hands

but hang in there...you keep getting it in good you'll do fine in the long-term
