Wow, thanks so much for digging that post up! I had forgotten all about it and it was really cool to look back at it. I really think it was actually about 1000 bets and my problem was I was trying to play too many tables and do other things like talk on AIM too much. I was also running ridiculously bad and that didn't help. But as soon as I cut the limit holdem tables down to about 2 everything turned around and I've been doing great lately! I can't believe I got down to 12k online! That's pretty sick!

I really learned so much from this downer and I think it's made me a better person/professional poker player. I hope I dont have to go through anything like that again, though!

It does not account for cold deck, gbux, FE, pretty much nothing.. And 95% of 2+2'ers who think they get it, don't know what the hell they are talking about.

Example. You flop a set. Someone sucks out with an over pair. You cry. Look at my EV graph! Is this running bad? Yes, you got sucked out. Is this running good? Yes, you just flopped a set against an overpair. EV does not show how many sets you flopped. Only shows you how many dollars you lost on a suck out. Maybe you run extremely hot and flopped 50 sets the last 100 times you got dealt a pp and got sucked out on one too many. EV graph is still going to show your down in equity, but can this be considered running bad?

If someone with good stat background can explain this in detail or link to an article, this would be very enlightening.
Well if you dont flop a set you usually get away from the hand and do not put money while being way behind. However if you flop a set and then get sucked out on, you put your whole stack in while being in front and then you lose it. That's running bad imo.

No, the guy here is running average. He does suck however, but that's running bad in terms of playing bad.

Don't feel bad. Mostly 3/6 and 2/4 with some 5/10 thrown in. Only broke a couple of mice.

All in luck is definitely not a perfect way to gauge how you're running. However, it's a really simple way that's basically the best we've got. Odds are, your actual win rate will be closer to your all-in luck adjusted win rate than to your actual win rate. So since running bad is running below your actual win rate and nobody knows their actual win rate, all-in luck is interesting.

I mean.. obv if you make 10 BIs in 100 hands and run 2 BIs below expectation in all-in luck, you're not running bad. But with a little common sense, all-in luck can be pretty helpful in allowing you to estimate your win rate and obv it helps people brag about how bad they run on 2p2.
