You probably don't like his answer by your **** comment, but he is right I mean it's not like those guys hit a higher four of a kind to beat your flopped four which would be a real beat. The first scenario the guy was way ahead with bottom set, and in the second you outdrew the guy on the turn and he rehit on the river. If you think you were good and you were winning before you shouldn't be fed up with that, you have to have forgotten times when you did that to other people. Just forget about it and get on with the next hand.

what if they are free?

i got into two $500 satellites for "free" but couldn't get the cash for them, i complained in chat the whole time about how tournaments suck and luck is the only factor in winning. i then went on about how much phil hellmuth sucks and everyone got mad at me (this was on UB)

I'm pretty sure they wouldn't put him on TV if he wasn't an elite player.

really? he is a psycho whiny bitch, people like to watch that. he is a soap opera. have you watched him play? he won tourneys when fields were small, brunson is good, hellmuth however just sucks. i give credit to good players who play good not bad players who run good and whine with ONE beat all day long. he checks tp and anything better than it 90% of the time and whines when he loses, freaks at a lost coin flip etc. etc. etc. how many great players talk about and tell their opponents how much they suck? it is your everyday "donk" who berates bad players, good players let them go knowing they will give it back. hellmuth is a good actor and a mediocre player, the combo gets him tv time.

Wtf? I fkn hate posts like this. At most he played the turn bad and that's it, pf flop and river are completely standard.

To OP, I'd say that if you can take all the badbeats and waste alot of your life enough to the point where you can play higher stakes and therefore make it worth it monetary wise, then you should keep going. If you wanna just live a much more stress free life and risk the possibility of being able to earn a boatload just quit.

Doesn't make that much sense but hopefully you get what I mean, I've been thinking about this a fair bit lately

Edit: oooooopps didn't see he was minraised on the flop, makes it worse. Still doesn't make the hand THAT atrocious

Also Wutang you're pretty wrong here and you should just stop what you're saying. Sure Hellmuth isn't the best at cash, but he is a damn good live tourney player. Maybe its because hes the best at exploiting donks with his attitude and play, but so what?
It makes him one of the best at what he does, playing live nl holdem tourneys.

Of course he's a whiny little bitch, half of it is probably so he can get TV and tilt opponents, but you're right he definately overreacts to almost every beat. He's still good at what he does.

He's probably bad at cash compared to other pros but I wouldn't be surprised if he could hold his own in a $.5/$1 game or something, but I would have no experience in his cash game skill level so can't really say.

Haha. Well, Ive lost 2k in the last week playing mostly within my bankroll, now busted my account after withdrawing like I do every week for bills. The past 2 days Ive bubbled 5 step 4's and 1 step 5, during that timeperiod I lost 21 all ins IN A ROW, every time I had over 9k chips with 3 left and 5 times I took 3rd. Just so sick. so now would be my time to give up.
