I am not sure if I bet on this. I will finish this challenge regardless, because it is a promotion for Pokerstars but I don't know yet whether I give myself a timelimit of lets say 100 days... It is summer and I don't think I can force myself to play Poker all day when it is such a nice weather outside.
You can bet against each other though on how long it will take obv.
imo you should think about starting with something like 100$ or even more.
1. you save a lot of time...
2. if you start with 100$ it also gets much more interesting for pokerstars. if you can do it with 5$ the donks gonna think "ummm boku did it with just 5$ so lets also just deposit 5$" BUT if you start with 100$ or more.... you know what i mean...
I'd put $300 against once I knew who had the escrow, what site, screename, blah blah. I figure if you were +EV on this, you'd already be making $20k+ per month, which maybe you are. I wish you luck, unless of course I lay the $300.
Ok no starting with 100$, Scotty said 5$.
I grinded up 1.3 million Playmoney chips, I might sell a million for 5$ and continue playing with the rest.
As it seems I will start on 15th July
First of all let me say I am much impressed with your win, congratulations. You are a beacon in the poker world, a beacon of hope for those less fortunate.
I work on a pig farm on the outskirts of Dubai. Don't listen to the media or look at the photos you have seen of the 'nice' and 'pretty' Dubai, the outskirts of Dubai are pretty rough and are ridden with beggars and theives. I have lived here my entire life.
Work on the pigfarm with my wife and two infants is difficult, I have no legs and only one diseased arm. My penis is shrivelled and limp and smells funny. After working the fields for 14 hours and walking 7 miles home with my family (when I say walk, my children have to carry me, my wifes back is pretty bad and requires expensive surgery soon) we retire as a family onto the hard stone floors of our single roomed mud shack.
Last year in the farms on a dark and stormy day, thick black clouds rolling in, heavy rain piercing my skin as if in warning I unearthed a book, burried in a locked case, it was a hand written manuscript, "How I won the Big Time - Jamie Gold". It contained strategy tips, and poker advice for playing good, solid poker. It gives preflop raise hand ranges, and how these should generally be ignored to catch your opponent off guard. Think KT is a good hand? It's only good in mutli play mini flops apparently against hyper toads.
Every evening me and my family gather around the dinner table (a slab of stone I found in the field) and slaughter a pig whilst singing "kumbayah". My wife is very good on the finger piano. Slaughtering a pig with one diseased arm is tough, but I have a family to feed. We make ham sammitches, and pork pies (without crust)
We recently sold 45% of our pig stock to buy a Dell Laptop. I am currently writing on it now under candlelight from the slums of Dubai. I have downloaded a poker client, and have keenly followed your progress on your blog. Once again, you are a great poker player who I aspire to be on par with one day!
I sold one of my pigs for a buyin at the $10 table, you would not beleive some of the luck I have been having. I raise PF with 85 and flop a pair, money goes in and he winds up with a better kicker. I raise with 33, hit a set, suck them in until the river but somehow they wind up with the craziest runner straights and flushes.
I'm finding it hard to cope with the variance. If you could lend me $50 which isn't much money for you, I could pad out my roll with that. PM me.

I was an op on Boku's channel during the challenge. I hated banning people. I'm not moderator material. I'm not going to post on Boku's new challenge thread, if that makes you feel better

Where is the new challenge thread? I have read the old one.

So you can grind play monies before the challenge starts that count during the challenge?
