went to a club with some friends, they chose the place because it had cheap drinks for $3. we walked up to the bar, they got their $3 drinks, i got an $8 drink.

Bought my mom some weird painting my wife told me she wanted but wouldnt pay $400 for. Bought my brother a nice air compressor for his shop, just cause he said he needed one.

One time after a sick blackjack session me and 5 friends walked into a bar we had never been to. I went up to the cute bartender, slapped down 200 dollars, and asked for 100 dollars worth of shots of Jack Daniels. That was a sick night.

Unless this is somehow widely known to be untrue...this is by far the most baller thing in this thread. Why isn't it getting any love?

If i were giving odds on the Phil Ivey story,

I'd probably say 10% chance it is true,
40% chance it is true-ish (i.e. he met Phil Ivey, heard the conversation, said hi, and that's about it)
50% chance it is bs.

But its been my experience that the big ballers like Phil Ivey and company don't have to wait in line for Jack S*** so I don't think the story is true.

Won about 3000 dollar in 2 month live at 2/4, invited my gf to a 3 week Bali trip (5* Resort), had baller dinner every night (steak, lobster, wines, beers, shots) went surfing, swimming with dolphins, made 2 day trips, went to clubs bought big bottles and were just living the good life.

All paid with poker monies with no regrets at all. That was pretty sweet.

Bought my new TV, Ps3, and 2nd LCD monitor all in the same week with poker monies:

TV is a 46' Plasma HDTV with 1080p resolution.

(PS3 and TV)

(Dual Monitors)

All in all spent about 2.3k that week. All of which was just impulse spending, did not plan on buying these at all really. Obviously the 3.5k downswing happened directly after.

Chopped 4 ways in $300 + $50 at Borgata WPT, cashed just under 18K, by far the biggest score for me ever. Proceeded to the "B " bar at around 7am (after 19 hrs+/- of teh loldonkaments) and got seriously hammered on high end Manhatans. Way over tipped the bartender and had to fight off a very persistent and not unattractive "working girl". I must have gotten her hopes up by offering to buy her a drink. It was just her, the bartender and me. Went home with almost all the win.
