They do. You can also bet 1.5 - 2.5 - 3.5 -4.5 - 5.5 and so on, those are called "European handicaps/(over/unders)"

1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0 and so on, those are called "Asian handicaps/(over/unders)" (there's also 1.25/.50 , -1.25/.50 etc., but that's too complicated for you to understand).

The point is that in Asian handicaps/(over,unders) you get your money back if the score is exactly what your over/under was. The odds for "over 4.0" is lower than the odds for "over 4.5", because in both bets you only win with 5 goals, but in the Asian ov/ 4.0 you get the money back if there's only 4 goals.

You didn't bet anything at all, you're way too nitty/poor for that. Also if you did bet, a smart bettor would have bet on all 3 outcomes to minimize the risk.
