It's not common knowledge, please elaborate.
i'm still unsure of the answer...i just know it to be true. trail and error, meh.
A234 in razz = rolled up in stud = nut straight on flop in omaha = kk in hold em.
That's 2 straight posts you have made in this thread that make little sense. In other words, it is a powerhouse hand, but it's not the nuts? Gee thanks.
Either way, I'd be willing to bet a decent, but not big amount of $$$ that A234 start is better than A23 start in Razz, and if you're just saying ANY wheel draw is worse in general than A23 start, that's obv closer, but I;d still think any wheel draw is better.
Seriously, this just sounds ******edly obv. If you are going to make such a bold statement as calling this "common knowledge, you should have some facts to back it up.
Also, FWIW(dunno if this calculates properly 3 vs 4 cards, but);
http://twodimes.net/h/?z=3025024
pokenum -mc 500000 -r as 2s 3d - ad 2h 3c 4d
Razz (7-card Stud A-5 Low): 500000 sampled outcomes
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
As 2s 3d 139279 27.86 344260 68.85 16461 3.29 0.295
3c Ad 4d 2h 344260 68.85 139279 27.86 16461 3.29 0.705
Even the WORST wheel draw is far better;
http://twodimes.net/h/?z=3025027
pokenum -mc 500000 -r as 2s 3d - 5s 4c 3h 2h
Razz (7-card Stud A-5 Low): 500000 sampled outcomes
cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV
As 2s 3d 162782 32.56 332147 66.43 5071 1.01 0.331
5s 4c 3h 2h 332147 66.43 162782 32.56 5071 1.01 0.669
So I'm just gonna go out on a limb and guess you have no clue what you are talking about.
