No biggie, I'll just hook up my tv as a monitor. Only the moran who stored it lost the power cord.
I'll just buy a new one I thought. Moran in the shop sells me the wrong one, so I go back the next day to angrily change it for the right one.

So i head home, power cord in hand, finally ready to get back on the grind.

Only the monitor isn't picking up signal from my laptop.

I rang the manufacturer to see what the problem is, and they tell me to change the screen resolution.

However, I don't have the remote for the tv (lost by first moran).

Ring up the manufacturer again, and they are out of stock on spares for the next 7-10 days.

Literally a continuous 2 day beat.

The remote won't help if the TV can't handle the input resolution. You need to bring up the display settings on the laptop, so you should take the laptop over to somewhere that has any CRT/standard monitor you can plug it into for a minute and set up the secondary display to be some tv-friendly size (as small as you can go is a good start).

Almost anyone with a desktop can help you in a breeze.
