Obv have to post in epic thread. OP what on earth are you doing bluffcatching playing the board? Especially at these stakes, smh. Just fold river, quadboats aren't a real thing in an unlimited texas holdem, you don't have anything beat. Fold river. Below is sicker than your hand too. Stars confirmed rogged.

The trouble is poker is about who wins at show down, not who was ahead when, that's why people preach the importance of being results orientated, ultimately the result is what matters. If you don't win at showdown then you need to find out where you went wrong in the hand and where you could have found the fold. You had four streets where you could fold but you missed them all, that's the problem. Don't get married to your hand.

Seriously, what do you beat on the river!? I'm snap folding here and not even thinking twice about it. I suggest you read some books/get some coaching to improve your game, because you pretty much butchered every street of this hand (especially THE RIVER). You have a lot to learn, son. GL to you.

The glaring mistake that immediately caught my eye was the Turn:

Fold Turn.

Villain has 2-5 all the way through to A-5 nearly always. Can probably rule out Q5.

Actually fold pre. If you can't play QQ post flop you might as well fold and wait for a better spot.

Why won't you listen to all the excellent advice you are being given? That i what this forum is about. Seeking out quality advice and then absorbing as much as you can is how you will grow as a poker player (and maybe as a person). You clearly should have folded the turn. Why can't you see that? Go over the hand again and I am sure you will see where you went wrong.

If you do t want advice on the hand why did you come here asking for it? As many people have already said, you should fold the river because you are beat. Preferably just fold pre, then you would lose less money because you would have lost by the river. Poker is about trying to lose the least chips.

I don't like the check back on flop. Clearly villain was quad mining pre.

You only have the 2nd nuts here. You have to find out where you stand. It's better to raise/fold here (or simply fold as stated earlier) as checking back gives you zero information.

If villain flats on the flop, you now know he has quads here 100% of the time (Or at least a 5 in his hand). So it's an easy fold when the 5 peels out on turn. How you call the shove is beyond me.

This hand is a classic case of butchering a hand, then posting it to try and justify it to yourself and others. Unfortunately we are not playing your game and we will tell it as it is. Sorry that it's not the comforting words you were seeking, but that's the way it is. Soak up the advice, you will become a better poker player and a better person. You had a pretty starting hand but you've got to know when to get away.

Really? Are you a gimmic op's account that is trying to somekind of level us? That river is an obvious fold for **** sake and creating new accounts won't make the bad call into a profitable one.

You gotta fold that river sometimes and save few bb's for the later stages of the tournament.
