I work out 5 days a week, have a great gf, and go out to the bars in downtown denver probably 2-3 times a week (usually after nuggets games...season tickets ftw). So yeah since this is my job I feel ok spending 80 hrs or whatever "working" during the month to pull in 30k+.

Oh and someone asked what I'm doing with my winnings since I haven't moved up but have been beating 1-2 fairly well over the past year. For the most part I'm putting it into savings to pay for med school. I have like 3.5 yrs worth of tuition saved up so far so I'm almost there! (Oh and I bought a BMW)

To NWC: No worries man, alcohol is a helluva drug. I definitely respect that were cool enough to retract dumb drunk comments. Yeah I hope I do see you more this month since I keep saying I'm gonna play more 2/4+ (though tbh I'd rather not see you and just be at a table with all fish ldo). But yeah no worries about the drunk hijack.

Thanks for the congrats guys. You guys rock. Let's destroy poker in February.
Hat's off to you then, sir.

Well done.

Didn't intend to dish him, it's just something I definitely wouldn't do... And I haven't been the most outgoing type of guy recently.
wat?

I know a lot of people dig ditches of a living, but there are a few of us out in white collar country who use one of these new fangled PC doodads for work. 40+ hours per week.

Did you miss the november prop bet some guy played 500k (or was it 600k?) hands in a month?

I just can't get my head around someone thinking 20 hours a week is gross.

I "work" 30 hours a week as a grad student, have 2 kids and don't play until they go to bed, and I still put in >30 hours a week at poker. Sadly, my hourly does not approach $400/hr.

Well, at least for me, working 7 hours/day in an environment with other people is much different than spending 5 hours/day in front of the PC. Social skills ftw... (I used random numbers)

Very impressive! I would really like to learn mass-multitabling now when I see that it is possible to crush.

How do you do 16 tables at once? I can only play 4 because thats all that will fit on my screen at once. If you play more tables, you cant see the action/remember who was the PFR in the hand.

any hints?

do you just play your hands ABC then?

I wouldn't say I play that ABC pre or postflop, I love 4-bet bluffing and I love floating flop c/r'es light. Re: multi-tabling: I rarely lose track of the action. The most common mistake I make is forgetting to c-bet when I steal from the btn but even that doesn't happen too much. I use a 30" and a 20" side by side and put my tables on the 30". That + HEM HUD + full tilt shortcuts makes 16 tabling pretty simple imo.

iparout: I usually play one session in the morning when my roommates are gone and then one session later in the afternoon/at night when they are here, so I only spend 2-3 hrs "sitting alone in front of a computer." FWIW I consider myself to be fairly sociable / enjoy interpersonal interaction and I rarely get lonely with my current lifestyle. So yeah my situation doesn't seem that weird to me. whatev

i mean, this is basically what a lot of online players that have other commitments do. two 1-2 hr sessions in a day can be quite enough if you're playing with your head straight and making good decisions, which it def. seems like you are doing

Really sick Bam. Also wtf at the person thinking it's abnormal to be on a computer 4 hours a day????

So if you raise the button and I 3bet 33 in the SB, and you 4bet, is a shove +EV?

I don't think you have to justify this to anyone, thats incredible work ethic you have and an inspiration for a lot of us to put in more hours.

Congrats, that's an amazing month!

Lol, it's very common in the world, actually it's more like 7 hours a day.

Every day meaning 5 days a week.
