I'm break even now because that's how bad i started off. Higher stakes, huge fields = negative ev for new online players. I know i am a better player now than I was, and have been consistent enough to prove it over 1000 games. Take a look at opr and you'll see it pretty much comes down to bankroll management. I'm still working on that.

If you are pretty much 15% in the money every month with almost half being at the final table, do you the way you play is the problem or bankroll management???

Congrats JDawg. I play much bigger fields than you do. What is your ITM% in the last 120 days for an average field size of 2299. Mine is 13%. Have you been profitable each month 46-180. I have been in an avg field size of 118. Cheeellange!!!!!!

I have a 19% roi in 18-45, 44% ROI in 46-180, and 46% ROI in 181+. I know its average stake of $7.45, but I can't help it if you have a bigger bankroll for now. This is all over a sample size of 842 games.

Erm, that's exactly what that means. Decisions made away from the table are just as relevant to one's bottom line as decisions made at the table. You can be a brilliant card player but if you're consistently broke because of poor bankroll management, tilt issues, or bad game selection, then you're really not very good overall. Saying you're a good player "except for bad bankroll management" is like saying you're a good player "except for all the times when I get my money in bad".

Dating back to September 09' (which is when I first ever played online poker) I have 23 wins in mtts for over 100 dollars at an average buyin of $6.38, so are you a fish?

As for the other tourney, where my QQ didn't hold up...you can ask DMONCH if you really care to prove me wrong. I guarantee he remembers it because after he knocked me out, he had such a enormous chip lead, then 20 minutes later it was over and he was $5500 richer. Someone raised in EP, he reraised them, then I shoved over the top. He calls with 8s and you know the rest.

Dr. Livingstone... I used my FPP to beat a 36man to satellite into my FIRST EVER sunday mill for free, then cashed number 800 out of 7600 for a no risk profit of $382. This was a nice mini-accomplishment. My ABI is $7 normally. I only put that because it is the only tourney I have EVER played online for more than $55. I'm sure some people haven't cashed after a dozen opportunities. Again, nothing crazy, but worth mentioning.

(and it's not even a heater, you busted all of them and chopped the one with 2 other guys) has given you a big ego boost, but you should know it means nothing.

all your poker 'accomplishments' mean nothing. no one will remember your posts, or your scores. they're proof of nothing. for a fun experiment, look up the stats of the winners of that $2.75 tourney you almost went deep in (lolol). poker doesn't 'reward' anyone for hard work or dedication or knowledge.

lol the fact that you think its all about making it itm shows that you got no clue about mtts. and also its not tougher to make it itm in a 3000 players tourney than in a 500 players tourney. you got to make it to the top 10-15% of the field, thats all.

I'm sure that some of you have been playing several years and not shipped a tourney of over 2000 people, so keep trying and mocking the people that do. I started playing online in Sep.09'.
