vanwilder, ya this is going to be really complicated now for people who were betting on this outside of thread who assumed the only outcomes were going to be a win or a loss.

Its hard to say but I think vegas books would rule this no action.

It would suck in way to have the buyout for 50% since you didnt technically agree to it.

- Fees bets $25k against Silent_0ne's (and his friend the_most10's) $2.5k that Silent_0ne can't win the 50nl UGL for December.

Any winnings or losses affecting the leaderboard attained during their HU play will be nullified and not affect the bet. So in effect, they never played HU.
- Jalexand42 rules that fees attempt to win the 50nl UGL is against the rules and the spirit of the bet, and decides that fees position on the UGL leaderboard won't affect the bet. (Out of 7 reputable posters that jalexand42 talked to, 6 agreed that fees actions were breaking the rules, and 3 out of 6 wanted his 25k to be forfeited).
- Jalexand42 does not take a stance in whether fees $25k bet should be forfeited due to breaking the rules or not (possibly largely due to him not being the escrow and details regarding their bet not being completely clear).
- It is found that whilst Silent_0ne and the_most10 escrowed their money to WCGrider, fees has not escrowed any money.
- WCGrider makes his first post in this thread, explaining how he wasn't aware he was going to be an escrow and how he just woke up with the money in his account. The post reads "I literally woke up with colins money in my account", but a number of posters claim to have seen it read something along the lines of "woke up with 25k/15k in my account" instead. It is possible that WCGrider edited his post within the first few minutes of creating it, but since doing so within that time frame leaves no history there is no way to confirm or deny this.
- Silent_0ne and fees discuss some variations of a possible buy-out of the bet, although the details of this are vague. Anyhow, Silent_0ne then posts that there will be no buy-out and that the bet will continue.
- Jalexand42 talks to both fees and WCGrider on aim. That which can be gathered from the partially posted chat log with fees is that fees argued that he wasn't breaking the rules, and didn't reply when it came to the fact that he hadn't escrowed his part of the bet.
- Jalexand42 talks with WCGrider who claims that fees has sent the $25k to him. Jalexand42 urges WCGrider to send the money to him, as he doesn't consider WCGrider a neutral escrow given that he is "very good" friends with fees. WCGrider says that he is "not removing [himself] as the escrow" and that his intent is to continue talking with Colin (Silent_0ne) and fees in order to reach a "compromise" and that he is a "mediator". Jalexand42 argues that an escrow has no business mediating anything and continues to urge WCGrider to sent the monies to him, but WCGrider says that "the money isn't going anywhere, nothing is being decided yet".
- From a discussion between Silent_0ne and Jalexand42, Silent_0ne states that the reason fees doesn't want his money escrowed by Jalexand42 is that he is afraid that his bet will be forfeited due to breaking the rules.
- Jalexand42 states that "finally, for the record, I would not have forfeited Fees' money".
- WCGrider posts a screenshot of an FTP transfer that includes fees $25k, making fees money escrowed. It is WCGrider's birthday and he feels like he has been poorly approached by Jalexand42 and that Jalexand42 has shown a lack of respect (which is a further reason why WCGrider doesn't want to send the monies to Jalexand42).

(I'm tired so the details from the point of "WCGrider's first post in this thread" might be somewhat poorly worded, very slightly off or lacking some details, but hopefully not).

It's clear that fees has a reflex sense of what's on the straight and narrow. Perhaps his morality runs adjacent to that of the corresponding 2p2er. He obviously has issues, after all he's not exactly acute guy. We abused him for not understanding the word obtuse, but this is supplementary to the main problem. I think the image he portrays to his friends is an alternate exterior. Sometimes though fees, you just gotta do the right thing.
