this is never going to happen. these stupid prop bet threads are for children.

if they agreed on 40 hrs a week it would pass as somewhat legit.

Al,

Just my .02.

If you're doing it for the money - then sure, yeah, go for it.

If you're serious about not doing it for the money and are actually doing it to challenge / push yourself/ do something meaningful, then there are about a million better ways to do those things than working 55 hours a week at a McDonald's.

why not work with kids or volunteer in a hospital or something where you'll actually experience something.... i worked at rite aid for like 50 hour weeks for about four or five months... it's just stupid monotomy... standing on your feet waiting for your shift to end

First post, i think. In response to some saying that he should try live poker 55hrs a week. IMO don't do it!!!!!! i decided to do something like that over the summer and i believe i actually lost my mind.

For seven weeks i played live poker for 10-16 hours per day every day. I lived in the casino and basically slept and played poker..... the first 3 weeks weren't to difficult and very profitable. I made around $40 an hour playing $1/$2 and $2/$5 NLHE. Then my girlfriend who was acting as my tension relief and staying in the hotel room complained i was playing TOO much poker, stupid girl. So after i had sent her back out of state.... the next 4 weeks were unbearable. I found myself passing time impersonating different pros playing style.... Farha is most fun and Gold's is most unprofitable i found.

So all to say, Mickey D's is an easier propbet than playing low limit poker. The last few days all i could imagine was doing bodily harm to all the slow dealers that could only seem to deal out 15 hands an hour. 100 hous a week of anything is not advised, take it from me...... but i'm up for any prob bet after that bit of self mutilation.

Al, you seemed like a smart dude when I met you this summer. Now, not so much.

There are a million different things that are more rewarding and challenging than this. Don't do this. Volunteer or train for a ironman. This will not be healthy for you physically or mentally.

I'd like to see this bet go down and I think the 55hrs is gonna stop it from happening or making it realistic

I would love to see this go down. The trip reports could and would be so funny.

I don't think that McD's would allow him 55 hours a week for 52 weeks straight. I just dont see that happening.

Al,

Getting the hours to work out to over 55 is going to be very hard. Also, cleaning toilets once in a while is not that big of a deal - you'll get used to it. Being on your feet for 12+ hours a day will be very difficult at first, but you'll get used to that too if you're motivated to win this bet.

Wiggs is right, do this if its for the money, but don't do it if you think you might like the work. I've done lot of hours at tough jobs before, but the jobs probably weren't as bad as McD's. I would have done this for half as much money as you're being offered when I was your age, but that was a lot more than what I was making back then. With what you're making, I don't see the point, even after reading what you said about why you're thinking about it.

Good luck if you decide to go through with it!

Jesus Christ, **** no way I'd do this. You are a brave brave man, sacrificing not only your time but your dignity as well.

And good luck getting over 40 a week, they'd way rather put in some 15 year old scrub for those last 15 hours than have to pay you overtime unless you're like the Phil Ivey of working at McDonalds.

Hi, why don't you talk to 2 managers in different McDonal'ds so that they can give you both 27-28hrs a week, one during weekdays and one during weeknights.

Its not like you cant find 2mc d's closeby amirite

Your an idiot - or a lazy bastard, considering that I've worked 18 hour days since I was 14 with my father.

so lets see...

55/18 = 3.05(repeating) which means I'll work 4 18 hour days and get 3 days off - EASY

remember in the rules its a mcdonalds that allows crazy hours so my 3 days off is plausable according to the rules and yes I have pwned you - feel free to DIAF
