i make 100k a year. I would do it for 100k, but I would have to have 7 sick days.

I would do this on top of my regular day job - of course I'd have to cut that back to 40 hours.

I would TRY to do this for 200k, but I seriously doubt I'd be able to.

Make it a cool million and I think I'd be able to force myself through it.

Dear God you people are weird.

Flash back ten years ago, and I did exactly this, for $5.15/hr.

Would I have done it for $102k, tax free? lol, of course

I make more than that now, so I would not want to participate, but pulling that out of the equation, it's a no brainer. In fact, if I got this offer for life (i.e. I could make $102k/yr tax free working at McD's), I would take it right now.

He should get double if he eats a cheeseburger every hour

Also, once he has made it to two or three months there is no way he is backing down and throwing away that wasted time.

your whole post seems to lack the realisation that he doesn't need the money and probably makes more than this money playing poker.

if I was Al and had a choice of many different McD's I'd defintely be doing some research on which one is the best to work at.

do 40 hours/week at 60:1 odds, since im pretty sure 55 hours/week is impossible. and Mcdonalds doesn't have a flexible schedule so u won't be able to work 2 mcdos at a time.

havent read the whole thread (just up to mchsove) but if you're looking to not grind and find meaning/a sense of accomplishment in life, going to work 55 weeks 52 weeks a year at mcdonalds might not be doing it for you.

also - have you checked how far 2 McDonalds' are from your house? i'd def get that checked out b4 booking the bet.

what stakes do you currently play/what hourly $$$ can you earn right now even though it bores you?

I make about 100$ after checking my graphs and $hit

- what is the minmum wage in your state/town? i think it varies across America afaik.

have not checked yet, I will be doing this in las vegas, guessing about 6.15
.
- how do McDonald's sort out who works what department? e.g. do you apply for a burger flipping position? or do you just get hired generally and they can out you anywhere? what department do you wish for or fear being assigned to?

well, I am not sure the intricacies of the hiring process. I am ready to do whatever honestly. I would be cool with getting down and dirty, or cool with working with people all day . The only position I don't want to get assigned to is toilet scrubber (if such a position exists)

- what about cleaning? do they contract cleaners in from private firms or do the McDonald's employees have to go the cleaning? could they make you do it?

I would prob have to draw the line and not clean the bathrooms, I am not here to get rid of all my self pride

- you'll likely be on your feet all day. this kills me. after like 5 hrs my feet ache like hell. are you experienced in this?

actually no, and it could be a concern. I will be changing my diet and working out (almost training for lol) this scenario. I have a personal trainer and will just have to grit through the first couple of weeks and then get used to it
.

if your a decent writer keep a journal writing down you thoughts and the absurdity of this job/bet. this is a pretty sick basis for a novel, ie trying to find deeper meaning grinding mc'ds job 55 hrs a week.
