i'm pretty sure a 1 hr break during your session breaks it up into two sessions. i could be wrong though

like 10 hrs live w/ a short dinner break.... i can play forever live but have trouble going long on the computer...maybe its the free alcohol that keeps me going

the longer session I play, the more likely it is that I lost. Long sessions normally consist of me trying to recover from my spews. Normally I play in short sessions. The longest was probably between 7-9 hours.

Hahaha um. . .I should've seen this thread after this past weekend. 15 hours of 20/40 and then directly after 36 hours of 40/80. Long weekend.

People say I look normal throughout. Although my chips seem to increase in number.

As to the article about that kid, it's absolutely correct. After playing 70ish hours I began to forget how to play and had to reteach myself. I remember watching people and thinking 'ok so they throw four of these things in the middle of the table when it's their turn. Oh and the dealer puts the cards in this thing in the table and it spits it back out.' I was convinced we had moved the game to another location and apparently was dreaming with my eyes open because i would be holding my cards in the air with my arms extended and my friend next to me would rip the cards from my hands "7 of spades exposed, josh what are you doing"

I don't advise this to anyone.

Try to have your long sessions be the ones where you play great, run great, and win.

Your short sessions should be the ones where after a few hours you feel like you're up against a wall and you're not making good decisions . In these instances leave and come back some other time.

FWIW, staying awake longer than 48 hours or so can be SEVERLY detrimental to your health. My mom's friend's son was in college at the time he studied for around 72 hours straight for final exams and projects, I believe using caffeine to help him stay awake. He ended up having intense hallucinations and went psychotic. He had to go to a mental health hospital for treatment. I don't know how it turned out, but that's the gist of it.

Live about 14 hrs was mad boring and I fell asleep at the table.

When I was 17 and playing HU LO8b I ran 100US into $3,500 and have not come close to doing such a feat again. I ran so rediculously hot I couldn't stop and ended up playing 30/60 by the end of it.
