I can load or deposit more than most of you guys have to your name, but that doesn't make me a good player. I have a strong understanding of the game, but I cant get BR management down, because I'm a risk taker & a businessman, not a poker player.
As for these big ballers with big money stories, I've done all that. Anything in the J-mac thread, I've done all that. I've made so much money from real work, none of this phases me. But it amazes me how some of these people with lower IQ scores and lower SAT scores can amass bankrolls in the hundreds of thousands of dollars and act like purchasing a case of wine is so baller. Try buying an Escalade with cash out of a duffel bag... try walking into a car dealership with $80k cash in a backpack and buying a Range Rover.
I've done the skipping the 2,000 people in line in Vegas for $200, I've done the buy me 100 bottles of Champagne, I've done the "get these 4 girls a coach purse" and none of that impresses me. I've made more real money than most of you can imagine and owned everything you can possibly think of or imagine, and guess what, it's not worth it and it's not all you expect. I've lived in the 3500 square foot house with jacuzzi tub and plasma TVs in the bathroom, who cares? Not a big deal. I've lived by myself in a million dollar house, but none of that matters.
Your lives will be just as miserable making $200k a year as it is now making $35k or $80k, it doesnt matter. Just look for what really makes you happy in life and do it. Take it from someone who drove an Escalade and made $20k a month on his own hard work at 18 years old, not from some kid from a rich background depositing $25k online and "messing around" and getting lucky like most of these donks are.
Most of you will call me an idiot, or a hater, or talk 'ish and said I'm lying when I post this but I don't care. Success isn't in numbers anymore for me, it's in feelings and being able to celebrate the outcome in happiness, not in dollar figures. So I'll be doing what's easy, what pays the bills, and what requires the least work, which is business to me.
I'll be back at some point or another, but for now, I'm done wasting time... and with online poker, done wasting money. GG

And blowing your roll because you're quitting is just stupid, if you don't need the money yourself, give it to your grandma or something. I would think the last thing you wanna do is give it those guys with lower IQ scores and lower SAT scores who make more money online than you already.

Maybe it's a hidden brag, maybe it's just a reality check for these lucky-go-lucky people online.
I'm not baller like I used to be. I used to have VIP everywhere I went and I'll drop $10k at the sound of a good time. I can still do stuff like that, it's just that loading $ online to play is not nearly as +EV as playing live is or investing into my business is.
I can AFFORD to play online, win or lose, but it doesn't mean I want to, because I can't control my business nature, which sometimes works against me when trying to play within a certain limit of poker money, because I'm so competitive.
