Weird, I just came back to the thread to say this... Don't take it personal, it's not you or that particular checkbox, that's just the checkbox that broke the camel's back. And it's not wrath, just checkbox induced insanity. Like the crazy homeless men downtown ranting and raving to themselves.

almost always? he can't have a set....or a ******edly played AA for that matter?

it was roughly 50/50 in my mind that he had a flush. i think half the time there he has a flush of some sort (whether it beats mine or not)...the other half the time he has a set. are you saying he has a higher flush there over (roughly) 82% of the time it would take for me to fold given those pot odds?

OP having the 8 and the flop being 49J DOES make a smaller flush less likely, but I still can't see folding a flopped flush for 100BBs. Bear in mind I don't consider NLHE one of my better games so whatev.
