so about 6 months ago a friend of mine from school started teaching me how to play texas hold em poker. i became obsessed with the game pretty quickly and started learning how to play well by watching the show high stakes poker. my friend chris told me about this forum so i came here and read some strategy while i began to develop my skill. within a few weeks of playing i thought i was getting good and i started figuring out peoples exact cards while playing. sometimes id be sitting at the table watching a hand and after the hand id say to someone "you had poket sevens there right?" and theyd be shocked and turn over 77.

so a few months later and i start playing online poker. mostly heads up sitngos on full tilt. one night after a good grinding session i was reading the messages in my little sisters phone and i found some flirty messages from chris. this made me furious because my little sister is only 15 and chris is 20 years old. i decided that i didnt want to confront him about it because i didnt want to get in a fight with him but i was so mad i needed some way to get back at him. i figured that if i cant beat him in a fight my only chance is poker.

so i called up chris that weekend and i asked him if he wanted to come over and play some heads up games against me for money. chris and i have always been very competitive with each other so he couldnt stand to back down even though he knows i play online now and im probably better than him. so he came over to my house and i pulled out my WSOP chip set and asked if he wanted to play for $20. but being as competitive as he is he said "how about we play for $50?". i didnt really feel comfortable playing for that much because online i play a lot lower but i couldnt back down now..

so i deal the first hand and look down at A7 unsuited. i raise from the small blind and he reraises me without hesitation. i knew that he is going to be very aggressive and try to push me around so i call to show him im not gonna let that happen. the flop comes down AA4. perfect. he bets out and i pretend i have a tough decision and then call. the turn is a 7. now i know i have the best hand for sure because even if he had a better kicker i've made the full house. he checks and i bet out small to make it look like i have a weak pair. he thought about it for a while and called. the river brings another 7 which changes nothing. then all of a sudden chris pushes allin and i yell "CALL" and slam my chips into the middle. chris proudly turns over AK. i look at him for a while and say "wow...AK...". then i turn over my ace and i can tell he's feeling comfortable knowing i cant possibly have a higher kicker. then i turn over my other card and show him the bad news. he immediately stood up and punched the table and said "THAT IS ****ING BULL****! YOU RIGGED IT." I calmly told him that i would never cheat at cards and told him we can play again and he can deal every hand if he wants. so we played on for most of the night and he was tilting like an idiot and i ended up taking $350 from him which was his rent money.

this was probably one of the best nights of my life. with my new found skill in poker i was able to stand up to someone i used to be afraid of and get revenge after he was preying on my sister. since then ive told her that if she ever messages him again i'll smash her phone

You realize you had AAA77 and he had AAA77 right? You split this pot.
