3 hrs and 50 minutes, I played less than 15 hands total, including blinds.
I open raised or 3-bet/4-bet about 6 hands, and they were all premium: AQ, KK, AA, KK, AK, KK.
The crazy thing is I won stacks with every one of these hands played. (Well, almost...the last hand played was KK and V's stack was $2800, and I won $1500 of it.)
In the end, I was up $4315, my biggest win ever.
I am a tight player, but the table I think was just not able to give me credit for continuing to get premium preflop hands, and they were overplaying back at me and my hands kept holding up.
I had a statistics student crunch stats with my winrate and hourly std dev, which doesn't take into account several other important factors, but he said this was a 4 in 10,000 occurrence. (LOL, I asked ChatGPT and it said it was a 1 in 120 trillion occurence. I pushed back on it, and it said "Ok, think of it as 1 in a thousand or 1 in 5 thousand.")
So, about once in a lifetime.
Anybody else ever win an amount like this in just a few hrs? I think it's not crazy crazy rare, because I have seen others do it.
If you're playing 30 hands / hr, this comes to about 120 hands total.
The odds of getting KK or AA are roughly 110 to 1. So in a standard 4 hour session you will get one of them one time. You got them 4x and didn't get them cracked.
If you keep playing with these same players, they'll wise up and get the heck out of your way when you open.
