Well I just lost what I hope is my last pot of PLO. $1700 pot @ 2/4 deep. QQQ v 888 and me (2-4-5-7) on a Q-8-6 rainbow flop. I had great equity to call but still lost , it's the biggest pot i've ever played.

I've finally come to the realization that i'll am not emotionally equipped to handle this game. I first discovered it a little over a year ago and have wasted way too many hours (and sadly, deposits on trying to make that "easy money" actually -accumulate-. I'm tired. I'm stressed and I'm down ~6k at mostly 1/2 and 2/4, money which I should really have been saving and not depositing on to FT/Stars "just one more time"

So i'm reaching out for help. I want to totally give up on PLO and focus strictly on playing NL and making some sweet graphs like I see posted on here. Can anyone give me some (detailed) advice or a plan on how I can grind that 6k back and beyond? It (the 6k) is really hanging over my head right now and i'm still feeling that tug to "take a shot" but i'm done with that. I'm ready to work.

I know i'm a pretty solid NL player but not playing very much for over a year I'm kind of feeling like a fish out of water. I win pretty much every time I go play 1/2 live but I know that might not mean much to long term success on line.

Any help or guidance you guys could give would be great.

Andrew

Maybe cause you don't understand the game. you got it in 3 way w/ the low end of a oesd, meaning most of the time (barring spots like this where they have 2 sets) you're getting freerolled or potentially losing

I've lost more money in PLO pots where I had way more equity than U did on that hand.

The key to PLO is never to be aware of how much equity you have. That way, you will never tilt when you lose. Simple!

if u cant handle swings in PLO, why can u handle them in NL hold'em?
I mean ofcourse PLO is more swings, but you look to me like you cant handle the game of poker at all. No harm intended, but down 6k, but still keep depositing "one more time"
anonymous gamblers?
