I wish I was a little luckier that's for sure. There is only one tournament where I gave a few beats which led to me winning it (QQ outflopped by JJ in 3 bet pot, I rivered straight, KQ>QQ on ft, these 2 beats led me to winning the $11 10k gtd for $2100). I have never given beats in other mtts which inevitably led to a decent score.

Or is it the old "We target you because we actually like you" crap.

Now that you lived in Canada for some time (2+ years?), and returned to the States for a while - what differences did/do you observe about things like living conditions or mentality. Are there things that struck you as odd in Canada, or strike you as odd now back in the U.S.?

It feels like everything in the stores is always on sale now (especially liquor). A fifth of Captain Morgan cost $32 before at the liquor store by my apartment and here it costs $22 (and that's after my state added a new "spirits tax" of 20%)

I'm also reminded I'm back in the US when I go somewhere like Walmart. All the skinny Asians in Vancouver have been replaced by obese Caucasians in power scooters.

Everyone in Vancouver has at least one apple device (Ipad, Iphone, Ipod, etc). By everyone, I mean everyone except the bottom 5% of the population.

OK I didn't expect an in-depth socio-economic analysis... but the first thing that comes to your mind is liquor prices? Really?

It's a supply and demand thing. Once the market realizes the demand in Canada has just dropped significantly and the demand in USA had just increased significantly, then the prices should reverse.

I was just using it as an example. Would you prefer I compare the price of bacon instead?

Between waffle, myself, and Chuck Norris I think we can deplete the supply of vodka in the US.
