I've been playing poker for a couple of years. Just having fun really and playing some tournies etc. Ring games have always been just for the heck of it so my results are really bad. So I decided to work at it and see if I could improve.
I'm not rich, but not poor either. But I've read many places that the "move up the stakes where people respect your raises" etc is total BS. That if you're not winning at 2nl, then you're not going to win at higher stakes either. So I decided to fix my stats at 2nl first and move up. When you're learning you're probably not going to crush 1000nl. So where do you get the most learning for cheaps? 2nl. Its not a question of poverty, risk aversion, etc. It's just common sense to start there when you're working on a good ABC game as a base to work with when you're moving up.
And if no-one gets my frustration. Here is a graph of my last 25k hands of 2-4 tabling on PS:
I could cry "rigged" - and in the spur of the moment I often do - but I just don't want to believe it. At 17k hands where I'm running at about 19bb/100 which is respectable for a learning player, I could cry "doomswitch", but I'm not.
I thought this was a forum for "Beats, brags, variance" which I thought was the right place for venting, but maybe I was wrong.
