So I've always felt I'm decent HU. Not extremely good, but I def have an edge over most lowstakes players. The reason I feel this is because of all the times I've played HU after a STT or MTT, or live with friends. Because I have never ever played a HU tournament before, not even a small SnG (except for one $2 SnG in the very beginning of my career. I remember that one).
So I just made my 1st $600 deposit on Full Tilt last night. Ran it up to ~$670 after a few hours of STTs and cash games, and discovered that a $11 HU tournament was about to start. I thought why the heck not and joined. It turned out to be 128 registered players. First 3 opponents were so bad, crushed them and got to top 16, who were guaranteed like $32. Then I played against a decent guy. I got unlucky at first tho, but then I got luck again afterwards, and ended up winning, safing the 8th place for like $57. The next two games were so easy. Seriously, I totally outplayed them. So there I was at the final HU table, guaranteed $211.20 and playing for $364,80. After a long game where I slowly grew my chip lead, it took a monster call to end it. So I'm pretty pleased now.
tl;dr Cliff notes:
Played my first HU tournament ever, with 128 registered players and shipped it for $365.
No thread savers ITT for it is awesome.
My beat: bubbled out of a 6000 players tournament at the same time with aces against kings, both healthy stacks
Variance: you tell me, BBV

Can I advice you to gtfo. Every single thread you post in, you sarcastically respond to OP in a standard way. Nobody thinks you're funny.
Try being original.
