well i managed to make a little money and waste a lot of time, but i have to take a ****ing break from these damn things. i don't tilt or anything, but this **** just makes you go crazy after losing flip after 60/40 after flip after flip after 60/40 after 80/20, etc etc. you all know how it goes. im sure ill be back at the damn things before long, but im going to give cash a try for about 100k hands and see how that goes. wish me luck. ill be shooting for making it to at least nl25 by the end of the year. if i ever get rb on my ftp account, i might go back and play some more sng's because im obv pro at breaking even at them...

So let me see if I got this right. You're up ~$3k in sngs, and you only have enough to start at $10NL and "maybe" get to $25NL by the end of the year?

I don't do pokerstars but I believe SNG's are now fixed. I have about 100 data points. When I have 1,000 I will publish my data. Basically my thesis is that the software is rigged to look at the hands and then favor the underdog on the flop, turn and river. The purpose is to keep the poor player around longer and contributing to the site. I believe this is done by "seeding the deck" with cards that help the underdog hand. For the purpose of my study I am only looking at dominated hands. Overpair or trips versus flush or straight draws, made hands versus two pair or trips, Pair over pair etc. I am basically only looking at hands that are at least 2 to 1 dogs. My initial findings are startling to say the least with 2-1 underdogs winning over 50% of the time. But my sample size is still small. Good luck going to live action.
