I'd played the satellite to get into the 75k at Absolute Poker several times, and I knew I was good at it, but wasn't exactly sure, so I added them all up and here's how it breaks down.

most of the time you must take first place to win, but if there are enough people, 2nd place also gets you to the big show.

June 1st, 2008, I played my first 75k satellite and won. 1st out of 9 players.
June 22nd, 08, I played my 2nd and won. 1st out of 18.
July 27th was my 14th try, and 4th win (1st out of 35) for a 28.57% win %.
Oct 18th was my 34 try, and I finished 1st of 23 that day, and that was my 9th win, for a 26.47% win %.

Currently I have won 9 seats out of 37 tries for a 24.32%!

I've monied twice in the 75k, my best finish being 7th for a $2625 payday.

If I hadn't played like a total dick in some of them, my % would be even higher. And one day I played in 6 of them and never even came close.

I am "Blinkerstar" at Absolute Poker. It's a good site. I love it!

I play on AP mainly for the 30% rakeback. The sitngo competition is really cake too. AP is loaded with lively fishies.

WOOHOO! I just won entry into the 100k Pro Bounty at Absolute Poker - and it was on my first ever try!

I decided to play it because they lowered the buy-in to only $27.50. It costs $1000 + $50 to enter. There were 25 entries and only 1st place paid. Only $625 was paid into this satellite, so we all got quite the bargain for entering.

HU, I was in second place at a distinct disadvantage - about $28,000 to $8,800. Blinds were $250-$500. $50 ante.

Once I got a good read on how he played and what type of player he was, I relaxed and took my time in slowly dismantling him. MUUUUAAAAHHHH HA HA HA!!!!!!

My winning hand was AA on a board of 6QAQK. I rsd prflp, checked and let him bluff the flop and turn before announcing I had 99 and didn't believe him. I put him all in on the river for $5500 and he called with K2s, MUUUAAAHHHHH HA HA HA!!!

Go to AP and check the 100k Pro Bounty and you will see Blinkerstar! Believe me, I didn't straight up buy in, as I only had $1034 in my account to start the day. Even if I had $1050, I wouldn't use my whole bankroll on one buy in! I wish I could post proof but I do not know how!

One dumb thing that I did today was enter four 75k ultimate speed and short stack tournaments. It only costs $5.50 to enter each, but there is no skill involved, as the blinds go up every 2 minutes and you start with only $100 in chips! What a waste of money and skill! I should have played the 75k earlier in the week, I guess, not 2 hours before it started! Lesson learned.

This guy reminds me of myself when I first started playing. I had the same enthusiasm beating 100 player fields for Play Money on True Poker.

Sadly, he has probably had more success than me online.

Only when I play satellites!

I just realized the great odds I'm getting to play the 100k Pro Bounty again. If I win, they will give me $1050 instead of entering me into the next weeks 100k pro bounty.

I thought of it as a bet in roulette, only it's like a 2 hour bet where I am getting great odds.

It costs $27.50 to bet, and I'll win $1050 - that's 38.18 times my bet.

now, with only 24 opponents in the field, I am getting amazing odds, as some of the players are total donks, and because I do have a talent for satellites. With 24 in, I'd estimate my odds to be around 10-1. It should be even higher, as I am currently at around 23% in Satellites overall.

Looks like AP decided to just cancel the $100k Pro Bounty and deposit the $1050 into my account. ??? Hard times for poker sites to, I guess
