I think your biggest problem may be your drinking. I don't touch alcohol and play poker at the same time. And so I tilt less.

I can coach you for free. SNGs are my specialty but I can beat cash as well. You should be making at least 3k a month if I teach you. Your first month may be slow but after your first month you should be making some decent cash.

Good luck with life OP.

In all honesty, it was tl;dr, but from sounds of things you should try to go to university/college, and pursue a real career. If youre a winning poker player just play recreationally until you bankroll allows you to move up in limits. You will know when the time is right if you can provide for yourself.

Definitely quit. Trying to make a living from nl4/plo4 is seriously lol - 50c/$1 is the minimum IMO, and you have to put in alot of volume to make that worthwhile. You have shown time and time again that you cannot control tilt and cannot use proper roll management. You should be making at least $100/hr before you should even consider abandoning school/future job considerations IMO and even then i would definitely not advise it as there is no telling what the future of online poker will be.

Even if you get better at poker and actually get a non-negative $$/hr, from what you said in the OP it is more than likely all that means is that you will be tilting off larger amounts of money. Poker isn't for you - find something that suits you better/something you have a chance of being somewhat sucessful. The fact that you can actually lose what you consider "significant amounts" at super micro stakes is beyond me and is an indication that playing poker part time is probably only going to lead to negative consequences (a desire to continue playing, loss of motivation in other areas of your life, etc.).

It has more to do with the fact that you appear completely incapable of being the sort of person who could ever be sucessful at poker and the fact that you manage to lose what you consider significant sums while playing micro stakes.

Just my 2 cents, but i HIGHLY doubt you'll ever make anything more than a minimum wage job could get you from playing poker and more than likely you'll just continue to tilt off your bankroll, be unable to pay rent/move out/get a start on life. Ppl with bad discipline/poor br management/tilt-alcohol poker related issues won't make money unless they are exceptionally good at poker and that means crushing mid/high stakes not barely winning at super micro stakes and tilting off what little profit you've made time and time again.

You say are "completely busto" playing super micro stakes when you have a job - that should really turn on some light bulbs for you.

And if it's never been done before, then who can tell you that it can't be done?

In essence, treat yourself well and realize that poker is not life. Live freely, reasonably, justly, and fairly and learn that once you begin to embody these virtues you will live a different life.

Thoreau once said, "Happiness is like a butterfly: the more you chase it, the more it will elude you. But if you turn your attention to other things, it will come and sit softly on your shoulder..."

Don't get angry at your bad play or bad luck. Bad luck borne nobly is good luck. Bear it with dignity and calmness and try to go and analyze your plays and what you could have done differently. Exercise some bankroll management and realize that you cannot possibly grow your bankroll while paying for your living expenses, leaving you with only one option-- to get a job.

Also understand that the source of your unhappiness comes from your fantasies. But truly strip away the glamour and see things for what they really are. You will realize then that these dreams are meaningless to our most precious gift-- the present.

So live a little, be content with what you have, and do your best in all that you do.

Good luck and I hope that you'll think about what I said.
Eloquent.
