martingale FAILS bcause even if you have millions of dollars there is always a limit on how much you can wager (in roulette, for example, max bet is 2500 is in some places), or in heads up, you're not gonna find people to play a 11,200$ flip easily.

No, Martingaling is fine, there's nothing intrinsically -EV about the strategy. Well, except that as you get deeper in, your edge will increasingly reduce because you're playing better people.
